Northern Kentucky University is located in the region that encompasses northern Kentucky, southwestern Ohio, and southeastern Indiana. This metropolitan backdrop provides for all the benefits of a thriving urban setting, as well as the up close and personal feel of a campus a fraction of its size.

There are over 15,000 students enrolled at NKU. We are currently serving students from 47 states and 53 countries.

Metropolitan Education and Training Services (METS) partners with the business community and Chamber of Commerce to enhance workforce readiness through access to local, regional and worldwide resources.

NKU employs a workforce of over 2300, and over 600 full-time faculty. The student-faculty ratio is 14 to 1, and the average undergraduate class size is 24. There arecurrently 68 bachelor's degree programs, 6 associate, and 17 graduate and 1 doctorate program.There were 1,624 bachelor's degrees awarded, 2006-2007, and the most popular bachelor's degree majors are, nursing, education, criminal justice, marketing, and psychology.

More than 230 students participated in study abroad programs in 2006-2007.
